Three different jobs get filed under one heading here, and picking the wrong one is the usual source of disappointment. Generating an image from a description, editing an image you already have, and assembling a finished design with text and layout are separate problems, and the tools that lead at one are rarely the best at the others.

Once you know which job you have, the useful comparison is prompt adherence against house style. Some models have a strong aesthetic default and will apply it whether or not you asked; others follow the description more literally and produce something plainer. Neither is better in the abstract. Then check whether you can change one part of an image and keep the rest - iterating on a near-miss is a completely different experience from regenerating and hoping. Finally, read the licence before commercial use. What you may do with the output, and whether that depends on your subscription tier, varies sharply between these products and is the detail most likely to matter later.
